Summer Camp is back as one of Merrick House’s signature programs! For years, Merrick has offered an inclusive summer camp for children ages 6-13 years old. For just $100, students experience 5 weeks of all day summer programming. Youth members will have the opportunity to explore a variety of extracurriculars and socialize with peers. Nestled in the heart of Tremont, our camp offers a perfect blend of outdoor activities, creative workshops, and exciting extracurriculars. Whether you’re trying to improve basketball skills, start your own business, or just trying to make new friends, there’s something for everyone at Merrick’s Summer Camp.
While summer camp is a fantastic opportunity for youth to stay engaged while out of school for the summer, younger siblings of the youth program participants are often left out of the summer activities that are available for their older brothers and sisters. Merrick has responded to the need for summer programming that is designed for younger children, and starting in June, Merrick will be offering SmartStart – a summer learning experience for 4 to 6 year olds in the community. The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Department will be organizing this fun-filled, educational program that’s designed to keep little ones engaged, learning, and thriving throughout the summer months. Each day will include a variety of hands-on activities, creative projects, and outdoor play that spark curiosity and foster a love for learning. SmartStart will focus on school readiness, helping children build the academic and social skills they’ll need as they transition into their next grade level. SmartStart – ECE’s Summer Experience will run from June 2nd through July 30th, offering a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for your child to grow and have fun.
