Merrick House has seen success with the implementation of the new co-parenting program, The Affinity Pulse. Fathers enrolled in the TAP program have been participating in group therapy, which has been a big hit with the participants. Fathers enjoy the mental health support as well as the comradery that this group offers. In April, the men gathered at the Man Cave, an event hosted by The Pink and Black Honors. The event brought together men from all walks of life, inspiring them to invest in themselves in order to achieve personal and professional growth. TAP Fathers had a fantastic experience, not only learning how to better themselves, but enjoying the social aspect of the group outing with fellow fathers.
The Man Cave Event inspired Merrick’s own Fatherhood Experience event, called The Huddle, which took place on 5/30 at the new Midtown Collaboration Center. We were thrilled to host Cleveland’s Own Shakorie Davis and Philly Weeden as the featured speakers for the event. Fathers from across Northeast Ohio were invited to this informational and inspiring presentation, where the men were able to gain valuable insights from two of Cleveland’s most accomplished entrepreneurs. In addition to sharing knowledge and resources, The Huddle also facilitated meaningful connections between fathers in the community. The Affinity Pulse Co-Parenting program has made an impact in the community within the first year of it being implemented and we can’t wait to see the program grow!
